The boy is through the fence before he can yell at him to take cover. The pkthareen must be in the trees - waiting.
He runs faster.
There! In the Monkey's Paw. Ready to change hosts and infest the kid's body.
This time Jack will save him.
He kills the alien, saving the day as he always does and when a pair of blue eyes looks up at him in question he strokes his fingers through the brown shock of hair, swallows audibly and says smiling:
"Good thing you stood close to me or you'd've been history."
Ianto smiles back.
